Hand pressed ceramic Art Tiles

Over the years since 1995, I’ve sculpted many bas-relief originals for tile designs, from which I then made plaster molds. Clay is hand pressed into these molds, dried for several days, fired to about 2000°, then hand glazed and fired a second time. Glazing is done meticulously by hand as well, often multiple coats and/or hand-rubbed to accentuate detail. The backs have a recess for hanging flush to the wall on a small nail.

Sizes, designs, and glazes will vary with these one-off Art Tiles; some design/color combinations may be repeated in the future, some may never be made again. Because they are hand made, no two will be exactly alike.

However, if you like the look and feel of these tiles and would like to custom order specific designs/colors/sizes in quantity for your home or commercial installation, we encourage you to explore our full line of over 300 designs. Quantity custom orders are only available through our established nationwide dealer showrooms. Custom orders are typically for backsplashes, shower walls, fireplace surrounds and so on. Glazes used on our one-off Art Tiles may not be available/suitable for our custom line.
